“And the Breadwinner Is…” had a strong performance in theaters as it earned over P400 million at the box office as of Wednesday, January 15.
The 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry’s box office sales was announced by Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company on its social media platforms, as the production companies thanked the fans for their support.

View this post on Instagram“And the Breadwinner Is…” tells the story of Bambi Salvador (Vice Ganda), an overseas Filipino worker who comes home to Taiwan, only to discover that the family home he’s funding to build turned out to be a failure. He was then involved in a sudden bus accident which had him presumed to be dead.
"This series is not just about the two teams playing; it's about reviving the spirit of hockey in Delhi. We hope this will inspire more young players from the region to take up the game," Harmanpreet stated in a press release issued by Hockey India.

Other entries in the 2024 MMFF include “Green Bones,” “The Kingdom,” “Uninvited,” “My Future You,” “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital,” “Espantaho,” “Hold Me Close,” “Isang Himala,” and “Topakk,” and was held from December 25 to January 7. The festival was then extended until January 14 due to audience demand.
