An Azerbaijan Airlines plane carrying around 70 people has crashed in Kazakhstan. Based on the initial comment from authorities, the plane crashed near Aktau airport after making an emergency landing.

As per the latest reports, a total of 25 people have survived the plane crash.

Of these 25 survivors, around 22 people have been hospitalised, with some in intensive care.

Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 was en route from Baku, Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russia, but was rerouted due to fog and forced to make an emergency landing near Aktau. The crashed plane has been identified as a Embraer 190 aircraft.

Speaking of Malaysia, they kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Pakistan. However, in their second game, the hosts, China, proved too strong as Malaysia could only score twice while China found the net four times, winning the match 4-2.

Emergency services were deployed as soon as the crash occured and put out the blaze. A total of 67 passengers were on board, along with five crew members.
